Council member
Marie Louise Conradsen is Head of the AU Center for Open Innovation in Science at Aarhus University, where she works strategically to strengthen the interaction between research, innovation, and industry, and to enhance the societal and commercial impact of research.
She holds a PhD from Copenhagen Business School and a Master’s degree in Molecular Biology and the History of Science from Aarhus University.
She leads major foundation-funded initiatives in areas such as drug development and plant-based foods, with a particular focus on how patent-free collaborations can unlock the value of precompetitive university research that is not typically captured through traditional means of technology transfer.
Through international research collaborations, she contributes to the development of new models for university–industry collaboration that combine excellence, openness, and innovation.
She previously worked at IRIS Group, where she was engaged in analyses and evaluations within the field of research and innovation policy.
Marie Louise Conradsen is appointed for the period 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2029.
