New Vice Chair of the Danish Council for Research and Innovation Policy

Lene Tanggaard has been elected Vice Chair of the Danish Council for Research and Innovation Policy (DFIR) for the 2026–2029 term.

Lene Tanggaard has been a member of DFIR for the past three years, during which she has played a significant role in the Council’s work. Among other things, she has been an important voice in the Council’s work on welfare innovation in the municipalities, and she has led the project on the future of the Danish PhD programme.

Lene is Professor at the Department of Communication and Psychology at Aalborg University, where she also earned her PhD. Throughout her career, she has established herself as one of Denmark’s most prominent voices within research, creativity, learning and education.

In addition to her work at Aalborg University, Lene brings experience and expertise from a number of key committee and board positions across the fields of culture, research and education.
