The Danish Council for Research and Innovation Policy (DFIR) invites you to a high-level conference on Nordic research and innovation cooperation. At the conference, the Council will present its recommendations for taking this cooperation further.

In 2026, DFIR concluded a project on the Nordics as a research and innovation region in light of current geopolitical shifts and Europe's ambitions to achieve technological sovereignty and greater competitiveness. The conference marks the conclusion of the project.
The event brings together political decision-makers and interested stakeholders to share insights, discuss and debate the future of Nordic cooperation. Alongside the new report and recommendations, there will also be room for participants to bring their own perspectives to the table.
The Danish Centre for Studies in Research and Research Policy (CFA) at Aarhus University has prepared a new report, "The Nordics as an R&I Region", which will also be presented on the day.
The full line-up of speakers and sessions will soon be announced. The conference is open to all Nordic and European stakeholders.
