Søren Hvidkjær

Council member

Søren Hvidkjær is Professor of Finance at Copenhagen Business School. He previously served as Vice Dean for Research at Copenhagen Business School and as Head of the Department of Finance.

He holds a Master’s degree from Aarhus University and a PhD in Finance from Cornell University.

As Dean of Research at Copenhagen Business School, he has worked to strengthen international collaboration, promote interdisciplinarity, and enhance the interaction between research and industry. As part of the university’s leadership, he has contributed to setting the strategic direction for its work on research-based innovation and academic freedom.

He has also served on a number of national committees, including the Committee for Research Infrastructure and the committee responsible for updating the Danish Code of Conduct for Research Integrity.

Søren Hvidkjær is appointed for the period 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2029.
